Limited Warranty

Thank you for your interest in the products and services of Gateway Iron Doors .

This Limited Warranty applies to physical goods, and only for doors, windows, railings, staircases, shelves, or any product noted in our quotes.

What does this limited warranty cover?

This Limited Warranty covers any defects in material or workmanship under normal use during the Warranty Period.

Please note that our products are hand forged and individually made by our craftsmen, minor differences may occur in the individuality of the steel and may have a variance deemed standard in our industry.

During the Warranty Period, Gateway Iron Doors will repair or replace, at no charge, products or parts of a product that proves defective because of improper material or workmanship.

Please be advised that exposure to natural elements and frequent use is expected to cause Gateway Iron Doors ,windows, railings, staircases, shelves, and other products purchased to naturally age. Although Gateway Iron Doors uses anti-corrosive primer we do not recommend direct exposure to water.  Any damages or changes to the products brought on by frequent use or exposure to the elements is considered an organic process that cannot be prevented, and is not thought to be a defect that is covered by the terms and conditions of this site. Any exposure to moisture/water may lead to rust as this is a metal product if not wiped immediately. Do not use water to wash the doors as this will lead to the door rusting.

What will we do to correct problems?

Gateway Iron Doors will either repair the Product at no charge, using new or refurbished replacement parts or replace the product if deemed necessary at sole discretion of Gateway Iron Doors.

How long does the coverage last?

Our customer service team will replace any substandard product or parts that have been deemed defective (within one years from the date of delivery, one year on the frame of the door, one year on moving parts, one year on glass for any defect on center seal excluding scratches, broken glass, etc.) at Gateway Iron Doors sole discretion. Broken glass is not covered

What does this limited warranty not cover?

This Limited Warranty does not cover any problem that is caused by: conditions, malfunctions or damage not resulting from defects in material or workmanship.

To obtain warranty service, you must first contact us to determine the problem and the most appropriate solution for you, for any product delivered, you must  send us pictures of scratches, dings, dents or any issue before install, if otherwise the warranty will be nullified.

This warranty does not cover any failures due to accident, misuse, abuse, alteration, faulty building construction or exposure to the elements without proper finishing.  This warranty does not cover failure due to improper handling, storage, installation, maintenance, or storage.

Return policy

Gateway Iron Doors does not offer a return policy on custom made doors. For in stock doors there will be a 25% restocking fee, this does not cover shipping fee.


Due to the construction method of our standard iron doors, they are, by design, subject to possible thermal transfer, which could result in condensation build up on the interior portion of the door during extremely cold time periods.

Metal is a conductor by nature. Therefore, if you do not have a thermal barrier in the middle of your window or door from inside to outside, the cold will conduct from outside in. Because of this, on days of extreme cold, foam is not a sufficient barrier, and a thermal barrier will be needed so that the cold will not transfer from the outside of the home in.
